Advent of 2024, Day 2 – Microsoft Azure AI – Working with Azure AI Foundry

Azure AI Foundry is all purpose tool that provides all of the capital ingredients that data scientists would need in order to create, develop and deploy the generative AI applications. The platfrom supports and gets you the following services and abilitiies:
- Use AI projects: Azure AI Foundry gives you a centralised hub for all your AI projects, where you can manage all the resources, collaborate with team members, and stream your workflow,
- Manage the AI agents for AI applications,
- Create RAG (retrieval augmented generation) applications that combine retrieval and generation processes with services for content intelligence,
- Over 1800 AI models from OpenAI, Hugging Face, Llama, Mistral,… covering different industries (Consumer goods, Financial services, Health and Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Mobility,…)
- Develop generative AI applications: If your goal is to develop applications that can generate content or build your own prompt flow, Azure AI Foundry’s generative AI capabilities are essential.
- Monitor and evaluate AI models your models with tools in Azure AI Foundry for the evaluation and monitoring of your prompt flows and AI models. With many metrics to ensure that your AI models will meet the desired performances, and benchmark your model catalog
- Integrate with other Azure services: When your AI applications need to work seamlessly with other Azure services, Azure AI Foundry offers easy integration, making it a versatile choice for complex, multi-faceted projects,
- Build responsibly: Azure AI Foundry emphasises the responsible use of AI, providing guidance and tools to ensure that your applications adhere to ethical standards and best practices.
Azure AI Foundry is ideal for scenarios where you need a powerful, integrated environment to develop, deploy, and manage AI applications.
Accessing Foundry
You can always access Azure AI Foundry using Azure portal or directly open is using: https://ai.azure.com . You will need to have your subscription ready and regarding of the region availability, there might be some of the AI Services or AI Models not available.
